Update is coming to fix the flickering screen issue on the OnePlus 6
Exactly one week ago today, we told you that some OnePlus 6 users were complaining that their screens were flickering under bright lights. Affected users had the adaptive brightness enabled, and noticed that the flickering was happening whenever they made slight movements. Some described this flickering as a battle between two brightness levels for control of the display, and said that it seemed more noticeable on content with a white background, or those with bright colors.

We mentioned that OnePlus was reaching out to OnePlus 6 users complaining about the issue on Reddit, seeking logs with recordings of the flickering screens. On Friday, OnePlus posted some welcome news on its blog. The next OTA update for the OnePlus 6 will include optimization for the adaptive brightness feature, which should end the flickering problem.

OnePlus says that the update will be rolling out soon, and the August Android security patch is due to be released shortly. Most likely, you'll see OnePlus kill two birds with one OTA update shortly.

Right... because all of the other phones on the market are bug free..... How is your old Motorola Star Tac still working out for you?

Before you think to buy Oneplus 6, let's wait till the last bug was fixed.

Troll alert! This is my first OnePlus phone and I can't say enough about how good the 1+6 is. I doubt very much ill ever go back to Samsung or LG again. Yes there are the occasional bugs (as there is an every phone), I still havent found one that affects me so bad that it brings the hate.. And the timely fixes are implemented faster than all the majors..
