Mere hours after
OnePlus officially announced the
OnePlus 5 - its brand new flagship Android phone - Carl Pei, one of the company's co-founders, shared an interesting fact about the handset.
According to Pei, the OnePlus 5 is the company's "fastest selling device ever." This assertion is based on
pre-order numbers only, as the OnePlus 5
won't be properly sold before June 27 (unless you can visit one of
OnePlus' pop-up events).
While no exact pre-order numbers were given, it's obvious that OnePlus is more than happy with how its new device is being received. It looks like consumers around the world like
what the OnePlus 5 has to offer - despite the fact that this is the most expensive OnePlus smartphone to date. And maybe we should add: also despite the fact that the handset looks a lot like an iPhone 7 Plus (at least when viewed from the rear).
The
OnePlus 5 comes in two variants, costing $479 (Slate Gray model with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space), or $539 (Midnight Black model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space). Are you tempted to get any of the two?
