OnePlus 3T name confirmed on OnePlus' site, has the coolest 404 page we've seen this month
In case you've missed the news, OnePlus is announcing something Snapdragon 821-powered later today. Supposedly, this will be a device dubbed the OnePlus 3T, a not-so-incremental refresh of the OnePlus 3 where the "T" stands for "Turbo", but it was all merely speculation until now.
While the full specs and price are yet to be announced later on November 15, OnePlus' own website gives a rather solid hint that its next device is going to be called the OnePlus 3T indeed. Turns out that manually editing URLs seemingly confirms the phone's name - navigating to https://oneplus.net/3t will show you a rather neat bespoke 404 error page with a calming pastel background and a time-consuming game.
We tried hard but couldn't access the same custom error page by editing the URL in any other way. Oneplus.net/4 or any other combination of So, long story short, OnePlus 3T name is confirmed.
As far as specs are concerned, apart from a snappy new Snapdragon 821 chipset, the new OnePlus phone will likely arrive with a better 16MP camera at the back, as well as Android 7.0 Nougat right off the bat - here are all the new expected features. Oh, and the price will likely go up by as much as $80 according to the rumor mill is - the OnePlus 3T might cost $479.
