Rovio and Formula 1 racing car driver Heikki Kovalainen have teamed up to offer Angry Birds Heikki, a racing car-styled version of the popular game. Angry Birds Keikki will launch on June 18th and Rovio has put up a website (see sourcelink) that allows you to spread the word via social networks like Google+, Twitter and Facebook. There are also links to Heikki Kovalainen's personel web site, YouTube videos and more.
While the hookup with Angry Birds would seem to provide a boon to the racer's merchandise sales, he does have something to offer Rovio as well. This weekend at the inaugural Formula 1 event in Melbourne, Australia, Kovalainen will be donning an Angry Birds covered helmet. Rovio's Harri Koponen, the executive vice president of consumer products said, "The helmet looks amazing, and we think people are really going to enjoy the webgame and merchandise."
