The OtterBox Defender series is one of the better selling cases for the Apple iPhone 4 and Apple iPhone 4S. Now, the company has raised the stakes and will be soon offering the OtterBox Armor series. Unlike the boxy style of the Defender, the Armour is more of a protective shell. While OtterBox hasn't released that much info on the product outside of a video and web site, the Armor is expected to be a "waterproof, thermo-plastic shell, precision fit to 1/3000th of an inch in accuracy, and [is] locked down behind a medical-grade stainless steel latch."

Of course, to some, it might seem a little late in the game to offer a case for the Apple iPhone 4 and Apple iPhone 4S considering that all indications are that the next iteration of the phone will launch around October with a larger screen and could have much different dimensions than the current models sport. Still, we suppose if OtterBox could capture just a small percentage of the current number of iPhone 4/4S users, it will all be worth it to the company. OtterBox says that right now the case is being launched only with the Apple iPhone in mind and it will explore making the case for other models.

So far there is no word on pricing and availability, although there is a cool video that we invite you to watch.

How about you actually use an Android device. Or watch a videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCFmES804P4 to see how snappy they really are. Seriously what can an iPhone do that an Android device can't?

It looks very similar to the lifeproof case. But it's about time otterbox designed a water proof case. Very interested to see what is in store for the next otterbox line of products

So you finally admit that DROIDS are good phones, you've come a long way :') http://www.otterbox.com/motorola-cases/motorola-cases,default,sc.html

Well apparently you think they are good phones since "Otterbox only likes to make cases for good phones" You're such a troll who destroys his arguments with his own logic. Seriously you make this easy for me.

Droids aren't good phones.

Please give me a good reason why, oh that's right you can't. Phone Arena seemed to love the DROID RAZR and so do owners. http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Motorola-DROID-RA ZR_id6026 compare that to the iPhone 4Shttp://www.phonearena.com/phones/Apple-iPhone-4S_i d5257 iPhone owners don’t even like their own phones as much as DROID RAZR owners like their phones. Btw, I love my DROID 4, its UI is smooth, has good battery life for a 4G Lte phone and has an amazing keyboard.

People like their paperweight Razr now, but that will change when Motorola refuses to update it to the newest Android update. iPhone owners have high satisfaction rates. You are wrong.

Motorola is about to update it to the latest version of android in a few weeks. Phone arena users are more satisfied with the RAZR than the iPhone. And btw it's too light to be a paperweight. Now the iPhone on the other hand...

A few weeks? Lol. Do you realize how outdated ICS is about be now that Google is already in talks of releasing Jellybean? ICS was released like seven months ago. You'd expect with Google owning Motorola, updates would be a little more quicker. iPhone owners get the newest iOS version as soon as it's released.

Well the iPhone gets updates quicker because it's really easy for the manufacturer to update 3 phones with its own software. All android phones are different so the manufactures have to tweak the OS for their individual phones. And with Google as Moto's parent company the update process will be much quicker.

Apparently alot of people care about those phones if case manufacturers keep making money off of selling accessories for them.
