Motorola's quad-camera phone appears in photographs

A couple of weeks ago we told you that Motorola's quad-camera phone will have two names, the Motorola One Pro and Motorola One Zoom. Apparently, there will be a version of the phone with Android One pre-installed. This guarantees two years of Android updates and equips the phone with a near-stock version of the operating system. This version could be the One Pro. Another variant of the same phone is expected to be released as an Amazon exclusive and is expected to include Alexa onboard. It also will sport Amazon's own apps including the Amazon Appstore. This might be the Motorola One Zoom.

Outside of these differences, both phones have the same specs including a 6.2-inch notched AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340. That works out to an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Under the hood, you'll find the Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform with 4GB of memory and 64GB of expandable storage. Those seeking additional storage can access the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 3.5mm headphone jack is included and a 4000mAh battery keeps the lights on. The rear camera will feature a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor.

While we have already shown you leaked press renders of the Motorola One Pro/One Zoom, today tipster Slashleaks posted a pair of photos showing the front and back of the device. Motorola is making a slow, but steady comeback and has been concentrating on low-to-mid-range models with certain features like a large battery (Moto G7 Power), a phone with an action camera that shoots in portrait but is viewed in landscape (Motorola One Action) and a phone with a quad-camera setup (Motorola One Pro/One Zoom).

The Motorola One Zoom and One Pro should be unveiled next week at IFA in Berlin. At that time, we should learn more about the different names being used for what is essentially the same phone.
