The Motorola One Macro could land soon with a cool camera feature
Moto G7 series

The Motorola One Vision was announced in May and quickly followed up by the Motorola One Action in August. Last week, the Motorola One Zoom was announced and a new report suggests the Chicago-based company is actively working on a fourth model that’ll arrive soon.

Set to be marketed as the Motorola One Macro, the new smartphone will reportedly make use of a 19:9 HD+ display paired with a large chin and a waterdrop notch which houses a single selfie camera. An image of the One Macro’s rear is yet to leak but XDA Developers says Motorola is working on a new Macro photo and video mode that helps produce impressive close up shots of objects. The feature likely gives the phone its name but may require a dedicated camera on the rear.

Internally, a minimum of 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage is to be expected although a version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is reportedly in the works. Chipset-wise, MediaTek’s Helio P60 which is comparable to the Snapdragon 660 is currently rumored.

Despite being part of the Motorola One series, the One Macro won’t be part of the Android One family. Instead, it’ll follow in the footsteps of last week’s One Zoom by shipping with Motorola’s flavor of Android 9 Pie. Don’t worry, though, an update to Android 10 will likely be guaranteed.

Lastly, the Motorola One Macro will include a 4,000mAh battery and support 4G LTE networks as standard. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded within the brand’s logo is to be expected also. It’s unclear how much the One Macro will cost or when it’ll be released but information suggest the phone will be sold in a gray ‘Iron’ finish and a purple ‘Cosmo’ color.
