Well kiddies, the wait is finally over as Verizon Wireless has officially released its first two Android-powered devices, the Motorola DROID and HTC DROID ERIS. We first saw the Motorola DROID in New York last week and were impressed by its features and overall quality, as we pointed it out in our Full Review. Then yesterday we got a hands-on look at the HTC DROID ERIS, which was also impressive, thanks to the Sense UI interface. Now both of them can be yours.

The Motorola DROID features the Android 2.0 operating system, massive 3.7" capacitive touchscreen with 480x854 resolution and 16-million color support, sliding QWERTY keyboard, 5MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash, DVD-quality video recording at 720x480 24fps, High-speed data support with EVDO Rev A and Wi-Fi, Google Maps with Navigation, Web Browser with HTML5 support, 550Mhz processor, 512MB ROM / 265MB RAM, and comes pre-installed with a 16GB microSDHC memory card. Pricing of the Motorola DROID is $199.99 after a $100 rebate with a 2-year contract, $269.99 after rebate with a 1-year contract, and $559.99 full retail.
