Just the other day, we reported on some leaked T-Mobile documents that appeared to show an August 5th launch for the carrier's version of the BlackBerry Curve 8520. Now it's less than a week later and we already have some more leaked information confirming that August 5th will be T-Mobile's release date for the device. The documents also are loaded up with the specs including the optical trackpad that has many a BlackBerry fan's heart fluttering. T-Mobile's pricing remains unknown at this point although Wal Mart is expected to put a price tag of $78.88 on the handset from its own August 5th launch, and drop it to $48.88 after a couple of months.
The Curve 8520 features a physical QWERTY keyboard for typing out those important texts on the 2.46 inch 320 x 240 pixel display. A 2MP camera is on board as is the optical trackpad, Wi-Fi, and support for 3G connectivity. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 will replace the Curve 8320 in T-Mobile;s lineup.
