Meizu MX4 Pro to launch in Malaysia on Friday

Friday the 13th might be an unlucky day for some, but if you get to purchase the Meizu MX4 Pro in Malaysia on that date (which is tomorrow by the way), no number of black cats could make you feel as though your luck had turned bad. After all, the MX4 Pro is one of those highly spec'd phones that make you feel special about your purchase. 

The phone is available with 16GB of memory ($386 USD) or with 32GB of storage ($442 USD). Before you decide which model to buy, keep in mind that there is no microSD slot available on the handset. Right now, the MX4 Pro is available in grey only. A list of stores selling the phone will be available from Meizu's Facebook page on Friday (just click on the sourcelink).

The Meizu MX4 Pro features a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1536 x 2560. That works out to a 546ppi pixel densiy. Under the hood is an octa-core Exynos 5430 CPU using the big.LITTLE architecture. The Mali T-628 GPU handles graphics and 3GB of RAM is on board. On the back of the device is a 20.7MP Sony 1/2.3″ camera with dual-tone flash. On front is a 5MP "selfie" snapper. A 3350mAh battery keeps the lights on and the Flyme 4.0 OS (based on Android 4.4) is pre-installed. A version of Flyme based on Android 5.0 is said to be on the way.
