Is Asus teasing us with photos of an upcoming tablet?
With Computex Taipei starting next Monday, we can hardly describe how excited we are to see the flashy new gadgets that manufacturers are going to demonstrate at the electronics expo. Our excitement has grown even further today after coming across a trio of photos of what might become Asus' next flagship tablet computer, and hearing that the device might actually get announced at Computex. Are you getting curious to see them?

The images do not seem to reveal much, and Asus is seemingly just teasing us with them. What can be presumed just by looking at the pictures, however, is that the device is going to be quite a looker. Judging by the ASUSDESIGN branding, the tablet's appearance will be of a high priority. The choice of materials seems to include both matte and glossy plastic on the back, and we are hoping that this is an aluminum frame that we see around the edges of the device. There is also a sliding button on one of the edges, but what function has Asus decided to dedicate to it remains a mystery.

In terms of technical specifications, we can only guess what the choice of hardware will be. The only thing that the photos hint at is a camera on the tablet's back. Nevertheless, we are not expecting anything less of a dual-core processor if the device is to compete with the iPad 2, the BlackBerry PlayBook, and the Motorola XOOM. More details are expected to be revealed at Computex, and we wouldn't be surprised if the tablet does get publicly announced at the expo. We will be keeping our fingers crossed until we see next week.
