Images, specs leak for Samsung Galaxy A20s; Galaxy M30s to include huge 5830mAh battery

Samsung hit a grand slam when it revamped its mid-range Galaxy A line and started releasing the phones earlier this year. The manufacturer simply created a series with viable cameras and large batteries and the world beat a path to its front door. In the first 70 days from the series debut, over 5 million units were sold generating more than $1 billion for Samsung, and surely those figures are even more impressive now. Some Galaxy A models offer near flagship-like specs for a much more affordable price. The Galaxy A90 5G not only carries support for the next generation of wireless connectivity, but it also packs a Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform under the hood. And if you live in the states, the good news is that each of the four major carriers has at least one Galaxy A model on the shelves.

If there is one thing that we must complain about, it is the naming scheme that might confuse some consumers. For example, the Galaxy A10 carries a 6.2-inch LCD display while the Galaxy A10e sports a 5.8-inch LCD screen. And besides adding an "e" series to some of the Galaxy A models, new "s" variations are on the way. Images of the Samsung Galaxy A20s have surfaced on the website for China's TENAA regulatory agency, and Twitter tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore tweeted out (via Gadgets360) leaked press images of the phone along with the rumored specs.

According to the tipster, the Galaxy A20s will be equipped with a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 (HD+). That works out to an aspect ratio of 19:9. We should point out that the Galaxy A20 features a Super AMOLED display. Another change will be found under the hood where the Exynos 7884 chip is being replaced by the Snapdragon 450 SoC. Instead of the 3GB of memory and 32GB of native storage found on the Galaxy A20, the Galaxy A20s will sport 4GB of memory and 64GB of native storage. The latter model will also feature a 512GB capacity microSD slot for those seeking additional storage. The fingerprint scanner is located on the phone's rear panel.

On the back, the Galaxy A20s will add an additional camera giving it three (13MP primary with an f/1.9 aperture + 8MP Ultra-wide + 5MP depth sensor). The selfie camera in front is said to weigh in at 8MP with an aperture of f/2.0 and the 4000mAh capacity mAh battery found in the GalaxyA20 will remain for the Galaxy A20s. The latter will offer 15W charging. Color options for the phone are Green, Black, and Red.

While the Samsung Galaxy A20 is one of the Galaxy A models available in the U.S., it isn't clear whether Samsung has similar plans for the Galaxy A20s. 

TENAA has also published images for the Samsung Galaxy M30s. This is a sequel to the Galaxy M30 that was released back in March. The "M" reportedly stands for Millenial, those born between 1981 and 1996. Sudhanshu Ambhore also tweeted out some rumored specs for the Galaxy M30s, which he says will feature a 6.4-inch display and a 5830mAh battery. The images reveal a triple camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The original Galaxy M30 had similar specs but had a 5000mAh capacity battery. That is still large but is topped by the one that will reportedly be employed by the Galaxy M30s. The Galaxy M line is offered online in the states by Samsung, Amazon, and Walmart, but only supports GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile.
