Honor 8 to receive Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 starting February 10

Honor promised back in December that it will push Android 7.0 Nougat (with EMUI 5.0) to its Honor 8 flagship sometime in February. A beta version of the update has been available for Honor 8 users in the UK for a few months now, but the final build won't be released until tomorrow.

The Chinese company recently confirmed it would start rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to the Honor 8 on February 10. The update will be pushed in stages, but by the end of the month, all Honor 8 devices should be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat.

Keep in mind that even if this is a global rollout, some countries will get the update first. It would make sense that Honor 8 devices in the UK to receive the update first since this is where the beta build was tested, but other countries might get it at the same time, including the United States.

Honor 8 won't be the only smartphone launched by the Chinese company in the United States that will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat (with EMUI 5.0). Honor 6X has been confirmed to receive a similar update sometime in the first half of 2017. This is exciting news for Honor fans, right?
