HTC U11 software update could be coming any day now, here are the improvements it brings

A couple of days ago, we heard about an upcoming HTC U11 update, which would enable Bluetooth 5.0 on the device. Awesome, sure, but it seems that's not all!

Modder LlabTooFeR‏, who also happens to get accurate HTC-related leaks every so often, has just posted an 8-piece list of all the improvements that HTC's latest flagship will get. Some of those, we've heard about — like the aforementioned Bluetooth 5.0 support, sRGB screen mode, and 1080p video recording at 60 FPS (yep, that's missing at launch).

The other improvements consist of general camera tweaks, even though the U11's camera is pretty stellar as it is; performance and thermal tweaks, but, again, the device is pretty competent right now, too; Edge Sense tweaks, whatever that would be — possibly a sensitivity tune up or more options for the squeeze feature? The new update will also bring about the August Security patch.

While we've got no official info on when said patch would hit, LlabTooFeR claims that most major markets are scheduled to start getting it through August. We would wager that carrier-issued U11 units would be slowed down a bit, but hey — fingers crossed all goes through fast.
