HTC One (M8) update to Android 4.4.3 is taking place in Canada

HTC One (M8) update to Android 4.4.3 is taking place in Canada
HTC One (M8) owners in Europe aren't the only ones in the midst of an update to their pride and joy. Up in Canada, those with HTC's flagship model, are starting to receive Android 4.4.3 via a carrier update. The size of the update exceeds 600MB and is said to carry improvements for the camera and for the BoomSound speakers. The update also adds security improvements and fixes a bug that that prevented the LED notification light from working.

Back in late June, a roadmap revealed by HTC "insider" Llabtoofer hinted at the possibility that HTC would combine Android 4.4.3 and Android 4.4.4 in one last update before Android L makes its way to the device. According to that roadmap. the HTC One (M8) is supposed to be receiving Android L in the October through December time period.

Those in Canada with the HTC One (M8) should keep their eyes open for the Android 4.4.3 update. When it comes, make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection before you download it, so you can save your precious data for really important things, like uploading pictures of your cat to Instagram.

The update has also hit the Indian versions of the phone, PA. It brings support for Indian LTE bands as well, along with 4.4.3.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with my CM 11-edition of 4.4.4 on my two year old phone.

And meanwhile the 4.4.3 update will also incorporate things from 4.4.4 and then they will be moving directly to Android L in the near future.
