HTC One (M7) receives Android 4.4.3 in Europe
With all of the recent news about updates for the HTC One (M8), wouldn't you agree that it is time for last year's HTC One (M7) to receive a little updating love? European HTC One (M7) owners in areas like Slovakia and Romania, are receiving Android 4.4.3. But this is not your run of the mill Android 4.4.3 update. As we've been telling you, HTC has been combining the security features of Android 4.4.4 with the Android 4.4.3 update. This means that this combined update will be the last for HTC One users (either M7 or M8) until Android L is pushed out near the end of this year.
The update weighs in at a C section inducing 550MB, and takes users to software version 6.09.401.5. Like the Android 4.4.3 update we've seen for the HTC One (M8), this update includes improvements to the Camera, Settings, Gallery and HTC Sync manager. Other enhancements are coming to BoomSound, the Quick Setting feature, Motion Launcher, Wi-Fi, network connectivity and Bluetooth.
The update will probably follow the path of the update for the HTC One (M8), which means the European update should continue in the days ahead, to be followed by carrier-specific updates in the states.
