HTC 10 rear case surfaces in photos shot from various angles; latest specs are here
The latest leaked images of the HTC 10 surfaced today, along with specs alleged to belong to the manufacturer's next flagship model. As we've seen with previous leaks, the square camera on the back of the HTC One M9 is gone, replaced by a round camera like the one seen on the HTC One (M8). Next to the camera is a dual LED flash, and possibly a laser auto focus. The chamfered edges found on the HTC 10 will allow the phone's user to maintain a grip on the device. And we can see that there will be at least two different color options to choose from.

As for the specs, some of which we've covered before, the HTC 10 is expected to be equipped with a 5.15-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution. Under the hood we should find the Snapdragon 820 chipset containing a quad-core CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM will be inside along with 32GB of native storage. A 12MP camera is expected to adorn the back of the phone, and could contain the same Sony IMX377 sensor used on the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.

HTC is holding an online event on April 12th during which the HTC 10 should be unveiled. The question will be, as it has been for the last few years, has HTC has built a handset that can take sizeable business away from Samsung and LG?.

Hopefully they learned from that... I know, probably not. Still, LG did. Every little bit helps keep them afloat.

So. If you don't break it in the first place, you won't have to repair them. That's why they have insurance. If it gets broke you simply replace it. This is what all you people wanted with metal phones. Like most metal mites repair is either impossible expensive or both. Stop whining about the obvious.

Just a redesigned M7. Nothing new here. Nobody wants to innovate anymore.

Alright then care to explain your idea of an innovative design? Everyone on here likes to complain about designs being the same blah blah, but no one ever goes into detail about what they want the device to look like. There really isn't much that can be done with a rectangular slab.

yeah. I mean if it isn't broken, don't fix it. Just because its the same looking, doesn't make it automatically bad. You need to learn how to accept something and not want something that is new all the time. That is what the world is becoming.

I think it looks pretty good, but nothing amazing. I'm glad that everyone else seems to love the design though.

Looks damn gorgeous, HTC's back. I love my S7 but could trade it for a 10 if the camera is a win.

Wasn't it confirmed at this point that it would have a Super LCD 5 screen? Why are they still reporting AMOLED? Also, by this thing's scores, it might just be 1080p after all. Either way is good to me. If QHD, though, I'd prefer it be LCD

yeah I was wondering the same thing. Pretty sure it was confirmed to sport a Super LCD screen. Just curious though, why would you prefer an LCD screen if QHD?

Evan Blass reported 6 days ago, that it is indeed Super LCD5. https://mobile.twitter.com/evleaks/status/711500662052405248

Custom ROMs. Resolution change. Since QHD is double the pixels up and double the pixels horizontal compared to HD, then scaling is perfect. You could get a lot of speed and power doing this, not to mention a huge battery life gain via underclocking w/ no lag. So why LCD and not AMOLED if QHD? AMOLED would look bad at HD resolution on a 5.2" screen, whereas LCD still looks pretty sharp. My gf's G Vista has a 5.7" HD screen, and from normal viewing distances you don't see pixels all that much.

No. QHD 2560x1440, FHD 1920X1080. Now I am no math teacher but 1440 is not double 1080...

it's double normal HD (720p). Make sure to clarify.

nothing special. just a standard 2016 phone

i guess. There are a lot of 2016 phones coming out with relatively the same specs. (SD820/Adreno 530). Not much to show a difference from exept a logo and main design. Even that is related too!

Phonearena slacks again, funny I even submitted this to them hours ago and with images that weren't even included in this article. And images that have a better look at the back of the phone.
