Google Voice app for Android receives a minor update
Naturally Google's I/O event would've involved a lot of news surrounding Google and Android, but there were also some smaller news that could bee garnered as something huge for some people. All students throughout the country are probably still cheering for joy since Google opened up the invitation for Google Voice to anyone with an .edu email address, but now there is a minor update for the Google Voice app for Android. Users are now given the option of either turning on or off the SMS forwarding feature from within the application. In addition, there will no longer just be the Google Voice app icon popping up in the notification pull down area whenever you receive something, but instead it'll display who sent the actual SMS – which takes out the minor hassle of launching the application to find out for yourself. No doubt we'll continue to see some interesting new features that'll accompany future updates as Google seems to be on a roll of late.
