Dark mode is now rolling out to Google Assistant and Google app
Great news for Android users, as Google is bringing the highly-anticipated dark theme to more apps. This time it's the Google app and Google Assistant that are being updated with a dark mode, but in the last couple of weeks, the search giant delivered the feature to a handful of apps.

Although it's not the first time that Google app is getting a dark theme, only certain users received the update that added the new feature a few months ago. Moreover, the feature was incomplete as the dark theme only applied to a few screens of the Google app, XDA Developers reports.

Starting today, Google has kicked off a wider rollout of the dark mode for Google app. Several Reddit users confirmed recently that the dark theme for the Google app has been enabled by the search giant without having to update the app via Google Play Store.

The same goes for Google Assistant, which is now easier on the eyes thanks to the new dark mode. The updates seem to be delivered to Android phones that are powered by Android 10 and Android 9.0 Pie, but we did not manage to identify any patterns yet.
