Fring offers video phone calls on the iPhone
We really didn’t have to wait until Apple unveils their latest incarnation of the iPhone to get video calling. Good news to all who have been patient about the whole thing because Fring is now offering it on the iPhone and select Nokia handsets. With the addition of Skype, you can simply connect to any of your friends and place a video phone call. Now the best part of it all is the fact that that it’s free and works over a live connection on Wi-Fi. Although the iPhone has been graced with this new feature, its camera placement makes it difficult to really see and talk to the person at the same time. In addition, it only works one way - meaning you can see your friend and chat with them, but they won't be able to see you. If you’re lucky enough to own one of the select Nokia phones with a front facing camera, then you’ll have it a bit easier than iPhone owners with being able to talk and see your friends simultaneously. It looks decent enough from the promotional video, but we recommend checking it out for yourself and tell us your experience with it.
