First Android Oreo beta arrives for Honor 8 Pro

Last month, Honor confirmed some its high-end smartphones will receive Android Oreo updates very soon. However, as many other smartphone companies do, Honor is going to test Oreo before rolling it out to its devices.

Honor has already debuted an Android Oreo beta program for the Honor 8 Pro, and the first result is a beta version of the highly-anticipated update. If you own an Honor 8 Pro and have already enrolled in the beta, you'll be getting the first Android Oreo build very soon.

Although an official Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Honor 8 Pro should have been released by the end of 2017, as the company promised, it appears that Honor missed that deadline. Well, at least we know Honor is hard at work trying to out the update as fast as possible.

Finally, it's worth pointing out that even if you're part of the beta program, it may take a while to receive this first Android Oreo beta update. The build had been out for a few days, but not everyone got it yet.
