The newest member of HTC's Android portfolio, the One A9, is one good looking handset, no doubt about it, exterior resemblance controversy or not. With "bead-blasted" brushed metal chassis, and a dual-tone finish available in a Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet, the One A9 certainly stand out as a uniquely HTC design.

This time around, the company outfitted its newest midranger with optical image stabilisation for the camera, and a fingerprint scanner, ready to brawl with any of the midrangers, mainly from China, that have been offering these goodies for a while now, plus it set the price to match.

For a $400 introductory tag, you are getting a premium aluminum alloy feel, 1080p display, 13 MP OIS camera, a dedicated audio DAC, finger scanner, and 32 GB of internal storage, not to mention that there is a microSD slot for expansion. HTC, however, has seemingly matched the stock set of wallpapers to the various colors of the chassis as well, and those are looking pretty svelte. The One A9's system dump has already been released, and the walls extracted for your preview and downloading pleasure.

Check the official One A9 wallpapers in the slideshow below, and grab some if you like what you see - the walls are meant for handsets with 1080p displays, as with 2160x1920 pixels they span on two homescreens from the get-go.

Speak for yourself... HTC for me is like a childhood pet that's hanging on to life by a thread at the vet and i'm hoping an experimental procedure will return it to it's former cuddly glory.
