BlackBerry Torch 9810 getting discontinued at home, are newer models nearing?
Less than a year after its announcement, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is being discontinued by the Canadian carrier TELUS. The silver model has already been axed, according to sources for MobileSyrup, with the white version destined to follow suit in the near future.

Now, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, when a smartphone gets discontinued, that is usually because room needs to be made for new arrivals. Those who are still loyal to the brand are hoping to see the first BlackBerry 10 smartphones before the year is out. Could they be ready for prime time? Probably not yet, we suppose. If rumors are to be believed, a new BlackBerry L series is to be introduced in September of this year, which is still months away from today. Yet things at team BlackBerry have been quiet for quite a while, and it is about time for it to finally announce something fresh and new.

In the meantime, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is still available from U.S. carriers, although it won't be surprising if it follows the fate of its Canadian brother.
