Black Edition BlackBerry KEYone is official in India with 4GB of RAM
Just a few days ago, we told you that a video teaser revealed that the BlackBerry KEYone would soon be unveiled in India. Speculation pointed to an unveiling date of August 1st. And sure enough, right on target today (which is August 1st), the Limited-Edition KEYone Mercury Black Device By BlackBerry Made By Optiemus Infracom was introduced. While the original KEYone was designed and produced by TCL, which is a partner with BlackBerry, this limited edition is made by Optiemus Infracom thanks to a license the latter has with TCL.

There are a trio of differences between the TCL version of the KEYone and the Optiemus variant. One difference is that the latter made model is offered in all black. Another change deals with the amount of RAM that comes with the KEYone. The TCL version is sold in the U.S. and other places with 3GB of RAM inside. The Limited-Edition KEYone made By Optiemus Infracom carries 4GB of RAM, while the amount of native storage doubles from a capacity of 32GB to 64GB.

Thanks to the fact that the Snapdragon 625 chipset powering the TCL made KEYone is the same one used on the Optiemus variant, the spectacular battery life that has been a big draw for KEYone buyers should continue to be so. Unfortunately, the Limited-Edition black BlackBerry KEYone will be available for now in India only, priced at just under $624 at Amazon. The unit could end up offered in other markets, although those who want the black KEYone now do have the option to import the unit.

4GB and 64GB storage, why wasn't this one released in the US? This launch has been a complete disaster for sure.

The baseline iPhone 7 has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and isn't a disaster. Besides your sociopathic hate for BlackBerry, what other pointless nuggets do you have for us?

RAM management is dependent on the OS. iOS does a better job of RAM management than Android.

OK, explain how the iPhone ships with half the storage and no chance of expandable storage. Judging by your post count, you're not aware of mxy's (aka Flash) penchant for trolling BlackBerry articles.

Now now, no need to fuss just because he got the best of you.

Exactly. Plus one for educating him.

Why are you deflecting by bringing up the iphone? I expect something like that from MG. Since you want to bring up the iphone, yes Apple needs to bump up the storage size. But the RAM part is not valid because the iphone manages RAM better than Android does. Did you forget how much better the 6S was when it came to benchmark tests? Come on Crispin, the young one shouldn't be educating the older one on something that's common knowledge.

It's not deflection if you're using it to make a point. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

No, it's deflecting. Plain and simple.

Yes, you are deflecting from the point. Thanks for admitting it.

The BlackBerry KEYᴼᴺᴱ looks sweet in that color! It's rumored to hit other markets in a few months. I hope so.

Agreed. I love the murdered out look it has, goes great with the BB "No bulls**t" attitude and theme. Them doubling the storage is also a really awesome move imo.

BlackBerry/TCL should lower the price of the original to $500 and price this BE one at $550 (Rs. ~35,000).

Yup, blackberry really needs to learn how to price their products competitively.

BlackBerry has nothing to do with the price. It's TCL/BlackBerry Mobile that handles that. Please don't make the troll all giddy. He just loves to make willfully ignorant statements when that happens.

Yeah, don't talk about the price. You might upset meanest and cause him to get triggered by the truth. He thinks blackberry has no say in the pricing of their own products.

Lol, now you're triggered because you got all giddy about a false information that I pointed out. You're an idiot if you still think BlackBerry has a say in the pricing of its branded hardware that's built, marketed, and distributed by other entities.

You're just mad now. Get over it and stop being so dramatic about something so minor. Blackberry has some influence despite your denial.

Lmao! You're so triggered that it's hilarious. You're seething with anger because I called you out for your false information and denial. BlackBerry must really have touched you something serious when you were an infant. Make sure you show the doctor exactly where on the doll.
