Earlier today, we told you the exciting news that the Sony Xperia Z3v is coming to Verizon in two weeks, priced at $199.99 on contract. Even though it has the body of the Sony Xperia Z2, it does offer the features of the Sony Xperia Z3. Perhaps this will be the start of a profitable relationship between Sony and Verizon customers. Another Sony device that is coming to Verizon later this month is the Sony Smartwatch 3.

The Android Wear powered timepiece will be priced at $249, and will be available from the carrier later this month. The watch will pair with an Android smartphone using Bluetooth, or can be used in stand-alone mode. With the latter you get a selection of apps, GPS, accelerometer, microphone, gyroscope and a compass.

The Sony Smartwatch 3 is equipped with a 1.6 inch 320 x 320 resolution screen, and is powered by a 1.2GHz  Snapdragon 400 CPU with 512MB of RAM on board. It also features a 420mAh cell and 4GB of native storage. Dimensions are 36mm x 10mm x 51mm, and the device weighs 38g. Sony says that the watch integrates with Sony's Lifelog for Android app. With the app, you can set goals for running or walking each day, and see if you can top them. The app also measures your daily sleep habits. The Sony Smartwatch 3 is designed to keep you in good health.
