Beatport app takes on Spotify with free electronic music streaming

3comments
Beatport finally brought its all-electronic music streaming service and its vast catalog to the world of mobile, and is now offering an Android and iOS app for free. Yep, you read that right, Spotify is shaking, while all newly concocted streaming services are looking at Beatport in disbelief.

Upon installing the app, you will get free unlimited electronic music streaming with all the populars and favorites you are accustomed to - from Solveig to Afrojack - and you will definitely discover new and awesome tracks you haven't even heard about before, and that's the beauty of everyone mixing stuff these days. That is also the original idea of Beatport - it started as a place for DJs to upload their stuff and create a community, while that aspect still exists under the auspices of the Beatport Pro service.

The app is not extremely polished, and you need to sign up for Beatport, or login with your existing account, but then you get access to the millions of electronic music tracks and mixes available in the catalog, plus you will be able to seek for festivals and live performances around the globe. Take it for a spin if you are into electro, it costs nothing to stream everything, at least for now.
