Audio-Technica has been in the audio for quite some time, known for its devoted fans who love its line of wired headphones. Even though they've had a solid handle in that area, wireless is a totally new beast for them, but one of its upcoming offerings is looking to make some noise for them. We stopped by the company's booth at the CES showroom floor, to check out the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC700BT QuietPoint.

Our first impressions are related to its design. On one hand, we love that it features a collapsible design that makes it easier to carry around in a backpack when traveling, but its construction is rather unsavory. That's a bit surprising quite honestly, just because Audio-Technica's line of wired headphones have premium qualities. The all-plastic construction obviously doesn't help with things, which gives it that flimsy feel when handling it.

While we're not convinced by the design of the over-the-ear headphones, we will certainly say that it's quite comfortable. Thanks to adequate and soft cushion lining the band and ear cups, as well as how they offer a little bit of flex and leeway, they don't feel too constricting or tight when worn.

Even better, we're so far impressed by the audio quality put out by them! If you're the kind that loves your music loud, hard, and bass heavy, then you'll appreciate how the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC700BT QuietPoint pumps out the beats. On top of that, its noise-cancellation did a great job of drowning out the ambient background noise around us at the convention floor!

Priced at $199.99 when it launches this coming spring, the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC700BT QuietPoint isn't grossly overpriced, which is nice considering we're dealing with a pair of over-the-ear headphones that have noise-cancellation!
