Apple releases update to watchOS 3.1 with plenty of bug fixes

Apple released WatchOS 3.1 for owners of its smart wearable, the Apple Watch. Rather than adding major new features, the update is about bug fixes and minor changes. Apple has added a new option to replay bubble and full-screen effects in iMessage, and messages effects can now play with Reduce Motion enabled.

An issue that could pause the notification for Timer complete has been fixed as well, along with a problem that could prevent the Apple Watch Series 2 from charging fully. A bug that would make Activity rings disappear from the watch face, along with an issue that prevented Force Touch options from showing up in third-party apps have been fixed as well.

This about completes the official watchOS 3.1 change log. If you want to update your Apple Watch, go to the dedicated app on your iPhone and tap Software Update. The watch needs to be docked and its battery loaded to at least 50% for the procedure.

My series 2 is a bit faster now with it. What watch you have Dark? Have you downloaded the 10.1 on the iPhone?

I have the Series 1. iPad Air 2 is updated, and the iPhone is up next. What I really like about this update, is that I can now use the iMessage affects with reduce motion turned on.

I want to try the new camera feature on my 7 plus. I don't want to update my iPad Pro cuz I have the hot spot feature and since I have unlimited data my daughters use it for their wifi only iPads.

The Apple Watch is a bug that should be squashed.
