Android 4.4.2 rolling out now OTA to T-Mobile's LG G2 owners
Starting today, the T-Mobile variant of the LG G2 will be receiving the Android 4.4.2 update OTA. According to the carrier, the update improves the auto brightness feature on the handset and improves the overall user experience. According to T-Mobile's website, while the LG G2 will start to receive the update on Monday, the handsets won't automatically prompt you to download and install Android 4.4.2 until Thursday, March 6th. All T-Mobile branded LG G2 units will be updated by March 25th.
To try to coax the update out of your phone now, you can go to Settings > General > About phone > Update center > System updates > Check now. LG suggests that you have your battery charged to at least 50% before starting the updating process. You might also want to consider a Wi-Fi connection so that your precious data allowance isn't used for the update. Also, you need to have 147MB of available space on your phone.
