Amazon U.K. pushes back Nexus 9 shipping date to mid-December
Some Amazon U.K. customers who pre-ordered the HTC built Nexus 9 slate, have apparently received an email about their order from the online retailer. The message is not just to exchange pleasantries. According to those who have received the message, it states that the shipping of the Nexus 9 has been delayed to at least the middle of December.

Some took the initiative to contact Amazon and were told that the decision to wait was "based on the manufacturer's decision, and the date mentioned by the manufacturer and supplied by the supplier." There is some good news, though. Unless whatever is behind the Amazon delay spreads, the Google Play Store is still expected to ship the Nexus 9 on November 3rd. Those who don't want to wait could order from the Google Play Store, and cancel their Amazon U.K. order.

The Nexus 9 features an 8.9 inch screen with resolution of 1536 x 2048. The slate is powered by a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Back and front-facing cameras are 8MP and 1.6MP, respectively. Android 5.0 is pre-installed. The 16GB Wi-Fi only model is priced at $399 while the 32GB Wi-Fi only model is tagged at $479. Coming later this year, the 32GB LTE model will cost you $599.

So to recap, orders for the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi only Nexus 9, made through Amazon U.K., are apparently delayed until the middle of December. As of this second, the Google Play Store still shows a November 3rd shipping date for the same slates. If there is any change, we will let you know immediately!
