Unlocked Alcatel Idol 4S now costs $349.99
Are you looking for a new Quad HD smartphone that doesn't cost too much? If that's the case, you should check out the Alcatel Idol 4S (the Android version, not the Windows 10 one).

Initially released in the US in July for $399.99, the Idol 4S is now offered via Amazon for $50 off the original price: $349.99. The handset is unlocked, and can be used on any GSM/LTE carrier (like AT&T and T-Mobile), but it's not compatible with CDMA/LTE carriers like Verizon and Sprint.

The $349.99 Idol 4S does not come with the free VR headset that Alcatel was originally offering with the phone. However, if you don't care much about VR, this shouldn't be a problem, as the 4S is a pretty good handset by itself. Highlight features include a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels, high quality stereo speakers, an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage space, and a 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charging.

The Alcatel Idol 4S runs near stock Android Marshmallow, and could be updated to Android Nougat in the near future (though there hasn't been any official confirmation on this). You can find our more about the smartphone by reading our Alcatel Idol 4S review.
