ActionDash 5.0 major release adds new Fresh Start feature, more focus mode options
ActionDash, the Digital Wellbeing add-on created by the same developer that brought us Action Launcher, is getting a major update this week. Release 5.0 should now be available for download via Google Play Store and if you're using the app, here is why you should update as soon as possible.

First off, the new app adds Fresh Start, a new feature that will ensure that once you turn off the screen of your smartphone, ActionDash will send you back to your launcher, so the next time you unlock your phone, you will start on your home screen.

This is particularly important for those who leave social apps open and when they unlock their phone's screen spend the time they don't have scrolling the feed of those apps. Apparently, Fresh Start works even if you don't use Action Launcher as your home screen, or any other launcher for that matter.

The next important change included in the update is enhanced focus mode schedules, which adds even more options for those using this feature. For example, there an “all day focus mode schedule” that lets users set rules to block out selected apps for an entire day. Also, with the “focus mode groups,” ActionDash users can create multiple groups of focus mode apps.

You can even block the accessing of the Google Discover feed during focus mode with the latest version of ActionDash. Other improvements in version 5.0 include the option to set Saturday as the first days of the week and a custom language override setting that lets users select ActionDash's language independent of the device language.
