AT&T kicks off Android 8.0 Oreo rollout for the Moto Z2 Force

Surely, AT&T is not the last major carrier in the United States that releases the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Moto Z2 Force. However, Verizon and T-Mobile have already pushed out Oreo to the Moto Z2 Force back in December, which leaves Sprint to sort it out somehow.

The phone's support page on AT&T's website has been updated to confirm the rollout began on February 20. According to the information published by the carrier, the update should weigh in at around 335MB and contains the January security patch.

It's kind of strange that AT&T reports the Oreo update file is so small, as it should have weighed at around 1GB. In any case, if you've bought the Moto Z2 Force from AT&T, it seems that now would be a good time to check if the update is available.

Expect to get new features after updating to Android 8.0 Oreo, including Picture-in-Picture, Autofill, smart selection and lots of notification and security improvements. The Moto Z2 Force should be eligible for another major update such as Android P, so you can stick with it for at least another if you wish.
