Sony announces new PlayStation games coming to mobile

It's been more than half a year since Sony confirmed that it will bring a couple of PlayStation games to mobiles through its new studio called ForwardWorks.

Last month, it was reported that the Japanese company might announce the first of these PlayStation games or titles based on PlayStation franchises that will be launched on mobiles on December 7.

Like clockwork, Sony and ForwardWorks revealed at the PlayStation Experience 2016 event the first wave mobile games that will arrive next year: Hot Shots Golf, Wild Arms, Arc the Lad, and What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord?

Aside from these games, ForwardWorks also confirmed that games based on PlayStation franchises like Parappa the Rapper, Doko Demo Issho, and Boku no Natsuyasumi will be released after the first wave makes it to the market.

In addition, the Japanese studio announced that it has teamed up with Square Enix for the release on another mobile game, but also with Nippon Ichi Software for its Disgaea and Yomawari game series.

The bad news is all these games will be initially launched in Japan and there's no telling if and when they will be available in other countries.

The first games that will be launched on mobile devices in Japan is Hot Shots Golf, which is slated for a spring 2017 release.
