Sony Xperia neo L goes global: beautiful mid-ranger
The Sony Xperia neo L MT25i was initially unveiled this March for China, and it was the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset for Sony. Now, the beautifully designed mid-range neo L is going outside the Asian continent and global.

The Xperia neo L is all about the right balance between price and features, and while we don’t know the exact price, we expect the neo L to be affordable. It’s got a 4-inch display with 480x854-pixel resolution, a single-core 1GHz processor and a 5-megpixel rear camera.

Here are all of its tech details:
4-inch 480x854-pixel scratch-resistant screen
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor
512MB of RAM
5-megapixel auto-focus camera recording 720p video
VGA front-facing cam
Sony has refined the design of the original Xperia neo in this phone, and now it looks prettier, with smoother curves and a less cumbersome look. It’s not the thinnest phone out there, though, so you’d have to make do with 0.5 inches (12.2mm) of girth. The Xperia neo L comes in a choice of black and white.

We have no word on US availability or any global release date whatsoever yet, but we’ll update you as soon as we get them. Stay tuned.

This should be priced the same as Xperia U or something. Why in the world did they leave out the dual-core and opt for such an old processor and GPU?
