Google will be unveiling the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL tomorrow, August 12, at 6 PM EDT/3 PM PDT. But the Alphabet subsidiary is already blanketing the internet with a short-form ad that shows two Pixel 11 Pro units moving together to form a particular number that should be obviously clear to you.The voice-over announcer says, "On a scale from one to ten, meet...well, you get it (the two Pixel 11 Pro units form the number 11 on the screen).

The screen says Google Pixel 11 Pro with Gemini Intelligence. The words fade out replaced by the date 8.12.26.Tomorrow's event is going to be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, coming off an outstanding job hosting the 2026 Grammy Awards. You might remember Noah sitting next to Bad Bunny, trying to talk him into performing on stage despite being prevented from doing so due to his Super Bowl contract.
Google turns to a popular host to replace Jimmy Fallon
Hopefully, Noah will be an improvement over Jimmy Fallon, who hosted last year's Made by Google event. Fallon, the host of NBC's Tonight Show, did display some technology knowledge by explaining what the Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 68 was, but was unable to explain Rich Communication Services (RCS).
Besides Noah, other guests of note that will appear at tomorrow's event include Golden State Warriors' sharpshooter Stephen Curry, already a member of Team Google. Joining the future NBA Hall of Famer will be Alex Cooper, Shubman Gill, Ayami Nakajô, Peggy Gou, “Jesser,” JuJu Watkins, PinkPantheress, Chari Hawkins, Steven Gerrard, Daniel Durant and more.
We have heard many interesting rumors about potential new features for the new Pixel models, and there are some that I'm really looking forward to seeing. One recently discovered marketing leak states that ultra-fast wired charging can charge the battery to 55% capacity in only five minutes.
Considering that the Tensor G6 will be produced on TSMC's 2nm process node using the Gate-All-Around transistor architecture, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL should have some improvement in battery life despite slightly reduced battery capacities for both models.
Pre-orders will start eight hours before the event begins
Pre-orders for the Pixel 11 series will start Wednesday, August 12 at 10 AM EDT/7AM PDT. This feels like Google trying to give Pixel fans the opportunity to lock in the model in the color and configuration they want before others on the fence watch the unveiling and decide to pre-order a new Pixel 11 series model.
Besides the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Google is expected to introduce the Pixel Watch 5, and the new Pixel Tag item tracker.
