Sony Xperia X Performance price revealed, pre-orders now live in Europe
Sony Europe this week started taking pre-orders for the Xperia X Performance, its latest high-end smartphone, which was first unveiled in February at MWC 2016. Sony is now also officially accepting pre-orders for the Xperia X and Xperia XA - both announced at the same time with the X Performance - though we must mention that these two handsets were already available to pre-order via Amazon UK (since last week).

At the moment, the Xperia X Performance can be pre-ordered in the following countries: France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden. The smartphone costs €699 unlocked (we assume this means that it'll cost $699 in the US), and comes in four color variants: black, white, lime gold, and rose gold. It looks like the Xperia X Performance won't start shipping before early July, despite the fact that the Xperia X and Xperia XA are going to be released in late May - early June.

The Sony Xperia X Performance is similar to the Xperia X in many aspects, but it's more powerful, as it features a top of the line Snapdragon 820 processor (while the Xperia X has a Snapdragon 650 inside). For more details on the new Sony Xperia lineup, go check out our Xperia X Performance, Xperia X, and Xperia XA hands-on.

All three new Xperia handsets show up as "coming soon" over at Sony Mobile's US website. However, we don't know if they're going to be released stateside at the same time as in Europe. We'll keep you posted!
