Samsung schedules Oct 11th for a joint Android event with Google
Samsung has just sent us invitations for its next Unpacked event, to be held jointly with Google on October 11th in San Diego and everything points to this being the unveiling of the Samsung Nexus Prime. The invitation discretely suggests that we’ll learn “what’s new from Android,” so this should also coincide with the first official look at Android Ice Cream Sandwich,

Unlike previous events held solely by Samsung, this time the Korean company has announced this to be a “Google episode” and it has even put Google’s logo next to its own, so that’s one further hint about a big day for Android as well.

There’ll also be a livestream available at YouTube.com/Android for all you netizens to check out, but there’s already a little scoop, which could possibly have spoiled the surprise of the event - Android Ice Cream Sandwich, or what looks like it, has leaked in a two minute video. Is the leak real? The answer is only two weeks ahead.

And here you admit that the iPhone doesn't have real multitasking between apps?

this definitely sounds like a Nexus Prime announcement.

hopefully they DONT announce a verizon exclusivity with it either.. with the news that it might be packing a new version of exynos, i want my hands on it NOW :)

16. Thump3rDX17 posted on 29 Sep 2011, 13:18

it probably won't be, if so i'm sure the Verizon logo would be on the invite somewhere but that could also mean there's going to be more than one product shown, we'll see.

The 11th of October will determine whether I'm buying a new phone or not. The specs are awesome to me, but if its the size of a brick, then no thanks.

I will add this to the Nexus Prime I have a source that has given me a launch date between Nov 3rd and the 10th for the VZW Nexus Prime, but used the moniker 'Samsung Prime'
