Google's Handwriting Input app now available for smartwatches running Android Wear 2.0

For those who send a lot of texts and messages from their Android Wear 2.0 powered smartwatch, Google's Handwriting Input app should make it easier to respond to messages and email. Starting today, the Handwriting Input app can be installed from the Google Play Store for smartwatches powered by Android Wear 2.0. And even if your wearable comes out of the box with Android Wear 2.0 running the show, like the LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport, you are still going to have to install the app from the Play Store. For some reason, the version of the Handwriting Input app that comes pre-loaded with either timepiece does not work.

So let's make this easy for you. If your watch runs on Android Wear 2.0 either because it received an update, or because it shipped with it installed, run to the Play Store and load the Google Handwriting Input app for your watch now.

The Handwriting Input app works exactly like the name suggests. You draw a letter, number or punctuation using your finger. Google suggests words based on what it thinks you've written. This might be the best solution for those with large fingers who just can't navigate the QWERTY on a watch face.
