Asus Eee Pad Transformer is Amazon UK's best-selling tablet device
Well, whaddya hear, whaddaya say, Asus Eee Pad Transformer? The company's tablet, in a package with the keyboard dock, has climbed to the top of Amazon UK's best-sellers in the tablet category. Asus has evidently resolved the supply issues it had with the innovative Eee Pad Transformer.

Next in line is the sub-$130 Froyo-touting Tabtech M009S, for obvious reasons, and the top 5 is completed by the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, BlackBerry PlayBook and the Apple iPad 2.

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer's popularity in the misty Albion comes hot on the heels of reports that Asus has already shipped 400 000 of these, and might be on track to hit a million by the end of the year, which will be a first for an Android tablet in a world dominated with leaps and bounds by the Apple's iPad versions.

Moreover, when the next Eee Pad Transformer ships, with a rumored quad-core chipset and Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the price of the first edition will be ripe for slashing, thus making the tablet even more attractive to first time buyers.

I have an iPad2, but my next tablet will definitely be an Asus! I love how they make practical products that differentiate themselves from the iPad.
