This iPhone 18 Pro Max, Galaxy S27 Ultra rival has a price tag from hell attached to it

The Find X10 Pro Max simply costs too much, there's no other way to put it.

When it comes to the best smartphones today, it's crucial to get your priorities right: do you want a gaming phone? Or a camera phone? Or something to multitask on? Whatever it is, there's plenty of choice, but… you better have deep pockets:

Everybody plays the price hike game

Samsung has raised prices and so has Apple in these past few months. So has Google with its new Pixel 11 lineup.

Once upon a time, when there wasn't an AI industry to get high on RAM chips and thus cause a chip shortage, one could look in the direction of exotic brands like Oppo, OnePlus and the rest of the gang. Usually, one would get great hardware without paying Samsung's or Apple's premium prices.

That's no more, as Oppo's new flagship, a phone series called the Find X10, comes with truly shocking prices attached.

When will you buy another flagship?

Oh, my, my!

The Oppo Find X10 and the larger-and-fancier Oppo Find X10 Pro Max are camera-centric flagships. It's a miracle that these are stepping outside China, but sometimes, a man has to be careful what he wishes for (it might come true).

Oppo's Find X10 series will be coming to Europe and these are the rumored prices:

Recommended For You
  • Oppo Find X10 — €1,399 (256 GB variant) or ~$1,565 when directly converted
  • Oppo Find X10 Pro Max — €1,799 (512 GB variant) or ~$2,012 when directly converted

Now, let's rewind our calendar by one year; in 2025, the Find X9 was priced at €999 (~$1,117) and the larger Find X9 Pro was €1,299 (~$1,453).

The increase

That's a pretty brutal generational jump. The Find X10 has a 40% increase attached to it, although the new entry-level model comes with half the storage (the Find X9 came with 512 GB of storage in the EU). The 512 GB variant of the Find X10 reportedly costs €1,599, making the increase a whopping 60%. Meanwhile, the Find X10 Pro Max is €500 pricier than the Find X9 Pro, representing almost a 40% jump in just one generation.

Do you make 40% more than last year? If so, congratulations! But these phones' prices are still eye-watering.

What's so special about it?

Oppo's Find X10 series' sole purpose is to make avid mobile photographers drool. And how could it not be, with these out-of-space specs?

As we told you recently, the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max comes with not one, not two, but three 200 MP sensors on its back.

The camera setup is headlined by a 200 MP main sensor measuring 1/1.3 inches with OIS. It also includes a 200 MP ultrawide with a 124-degree field of view and a 200 MP periscope telephoto offering 3x optical zoom, both using 1/1.56-inch sensors. A Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit can be attached to the periscope camera, pushing optical zoom to 10x and digital zoom to 200x.

The phone can record 8K video at 30fps and 4K at up to 120fps, while selfies are handled by a 50MP front camera.

That's great, but I think my crusade (I'm trying to convert my friends to Chinese flagships) is now over; many will look at those prices and laugh (and go with the iPhone Pro Max or the Galaxy S Ultra of the year).
