We breathe around 15 times every minute, which adds up to more than 20,000 breaths every single day. Now, with the latest Pixel Watch update, you will be able to track the quality of the air you're putting inside your lungs.

Pixel Watch is getting new complications

The Pixel Watch weather app is getting a new update featuring new complications to the watch faces.

Right now you can add three complications to the watch face of any Pixel Watch. These are the UV Index, the Sunrise and Sunset, and the Weather complication.

The update adds three more — Precipitation, Pollen, and Air Quality Index.

The ability to quickly glance at the air quality may seem trivial, but it could be a great quality-of-life update for many people, especially those living in areas where air pollution is a thing.

Precipitation is obviously helpful as well, it could turn a "wet to the bone" condition into "I brought an umbrella" with a single glance.

And for me, the Pollen complication is extremely helpful, because every spring my hay fever and pollen allergy give me hell.

The update is already rolling out

Even though Google hasn't announced any of these new complications, the update seems to be rolling out as I type this. Our colleagues at 9to5Google point out that the Pixel Weather app version that has the new features is 1.0.0.94.

Every Pixel Watch model should get the update

There's nothing specific in the report about which Pixel Watch model is eligible for the update, but I assume all versions, including the original Pixel Watch, will get it at some point.

The update is targeting the Pixel Weather app and doesn't require specific hardware to run on the watch, it's just a UI change.

Our Pixel Watch 3 here in the office hasn't received the update yet, and given Google has been silent about it, we might have to wait a little longer for a more widespread rollout.
