The premiere of the Galaxy S27 series is still months away, but we’re already starting to see multiple leaks, including detailed renders of the base model and the redesigned Galaxy S27 Ultra. As controversial as some of those appear to be, a new set of Galaxy S27 Pro renders has revealed that Samsung may bet everything on its new design ideas next year.
Galaxy S27 Pro renders look a little too familiar
If you were hoping that the S27 Ultra leaks are a mistake or an exaggeration, the new S27 Pro renders, courtesy of OnLeaks and Android Headlines, will certainly come as a disappointment. Samsung’s first flagship with a Pro moniker may come with the same design as the Ultra model, including the controversial camera island.
The new look appears heavily inspired by the camera plateau on the iPhone 17 Pro. Just like the S27 Ultra, the Pro model may also have a triple main camera. It’s very likely the camera specs on the two devices will be the same.
Another shared measurement between the two devices might be the 7.97 mm thickness, though the S27 Pro is expected to be the smaller of the two devices. Its measurements suggest a display with about a 6.6-inch diagonal, while the Ultra is expected to come with a 6.9-inch screen.

If you look at the front side of the two phones, you may think those are a Galaxy S27 Ultra and a Galaxy S27 Ultra Mini, but a deeper look reveals one key difference. The Pro model isn’t coming with an S Pen stylus, which may remain exclusive to the Ultra.
The other significant difference between the two is far less surprising. The battery on the Ultra is rumored to grow to 5,700 mAh, but the smaller Pro model won’t reach this high. Still, Samsung may use a 5,200 mAh cell, which is still more than the 5,000 mAh on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and many of its predecessors.

Samsung is very likely to use the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, which may be called either Pro or Extreme and will feature 5GHz cores. However, there’s a possibility for the company to bet on its own Exynos 2700 chip at least in some markets, thanks to the great performance of the chip in its testing.
Which Galaxy S27 model are you most excited about?
Similar to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the S27 Pro could offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for the base version, but reach 16GB of RAM on the higher storage models. This is most likely to also be the case with the S27 Ultra, though Samsung tends to use Qualcomm chips in all markets for this model.
Reactions to the design on Reddit have been overwhelmingly negative, with many people pointing out the resemblance to Apple’s phones. Still, there were several positive comments, with the smaller size getting praise from people who liked the idea of a Galaxy Ultra, but not its giant screen.

How much is the Galaxy S27 Pro going to cost?

It is too early to expect any official information about the Galaxy S27 phones from Samsung, but we can confidently guess they’ll be more expensive than the current models. The S27 Pro is most likely going to cost more than the S27 Plus, but less than the S27 Ultra.
If Samsung manages to limit the increases to only $100, the S27 Plus could start at $1,199, and the S27 Ultra at $1,399. This would put the S27 Pro’s price at $1,299, unless the price hike isn’t even worse. Either way, this is unlikely to be an affordable phone.
I’ll believe it when I see it
An Ultra-style phone with a smaller display and without the S Pen sounds great, but I'm not getting excited about it before it shows up at a Galaxy Unpacked event. Last year’s rumors for the Galaxy S26 Pro were as convincing and exciting, but such a phone never made it to the market, and I’m not getting burned twice in the same way.
