You can't beat this refurbished Samsung Gear S3 Frontier deal
If you’re looking for a robust Apple Watch Series 4 alternative with a decent price tag, the $330 and up Samsung Galaxy Watch... doesn’t exactly fit the latter part of that description. But the older Gear S3 smartwatch certainly does, especially if you hurry and get a certified refurbished unit from A4C in exchange for an almost ridiculously low $169.95.

That’s listed as discounted from a “regular” price of $349.95, although retailers like Best Buy are “regularly” charging $250 or so for brand-new units and around $200 a pop if you’re willing to go the refurb route.

Then again, A4C appears to be selling Verizon-specific SM-R765V models of the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier today, which you should still be able to take to Big Red for activation of standalone cellular services.

That’s right, your measly 170 bucks will seemingly buy you a stylish and relatively powerful smartwatch that can make 4G LTE voice calls on its own. Other impressive features (at least for that price) include NFC support for wrist payments, GPS tracking, a heart rate monitor, beautiful 1.3-inch AMOLED display, and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Of course, the battery life is not great, and the software still patchy, but the fashionable hardware alone makes this deal pretty compelling for wearable bargain hunters. You probably shouldn’t worry too much about the refurbished condition of the device, by the way, as A4C offers a convenient 90-day replacement warranty.

The Gear S3 Frontier units on special offer (today only, by the way) may contain “minor scratches and/or slight cosmetic defects due to prior usage”, but otherwise, they should be in “perfect” working condition, having been tested “thoroughly” to that end.
