Prime Day knocks Samsung's noise-cancelling Galaxy Buds 3 FE down in impulse buy territory

Is it too early to start thinking about stocking stuffers or low-cost Christmas gifts for distant family members or even close friends who don't want you to go bankrupt just because the holidays are coming? Not when something as nice as the Galaxy Buds 3 FE can be had at a crazy low price after a massive $55 (or 37 percent) discount.

These are obviously not as powerful or as overall sophisticated as the ultra-high-end Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, but they're a lot cheaper during Amazon's second big Prime Day sale of the year and they're nowhere near as humble as their name or age might suggest.

If you're an iPhone user and not an Android handset owner, Apple's AirPods 4 are probably your top low-cost option right now at a killer new discount with no special requirements.

There's a good reason why Samsung hasn't released an upgraded Galaxy Buds 4 FE model yet (and is unlikely to do so anytime soon), and that's clearly the excellent balance between power and affordability delivered by last year's Galaxy Buds 3 Fan Edition.

Normally priced at $149.99 and thus currently available for under a Benjamin, this is a noise-cancelling affair with Ambient Mode also supported, not to mention more than respectable overall sound quality thanks to a large 11mm dynamic driver, 360 Audio capabilities, and IP54 certification for (decent) water and dust resistance.

Yes, I've seen the Galaxy Buds 3 FE discounted even more steeply a couple of times in the past, but while wireless earbuds have largely escaped the mobile industry-wide price hikes of the last nine months or so, their deals are clearly not as frequent or as attractive as they used to be either.

As such, there's a very real possibility this $55 discount will not be improved any further this holiday season, so if you're an Amazon Prime member, you might as well get an early start on your Christmas shopping with... a bunch of Galaxy Buds 3 FE units for your best friend, a sibling, and even yourself. After all, you deserve a little true wireless treat of your own too, right?
