Samsung's useful Math Solver feature in Samsung Notes is reportedly going to expand to more phones with One UI 8.5. Initially, the feature was reserved for tablets, but it then expanded to Galaxy Z and S-Pen supporting Galaxy phones. Apparently, now it's rumored to expand to even more models with the next One UI update.
More Galaxy phones to get this useful Samsung Notes feature
Math Solver is a feature in Samsung Notes that automatically solves math equations in your notes. The folks at SamMobile were able to find the feature in the firmware of One UI 8.5 that previously leaked. The APK file of Samsung Notes from that leaked firmware had the feature available, and it was tested to work on a Galaxy S23.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that Samsung will, for certain, make this feature available on phones that don't have S Pen support. We'll know if the South Korean giant will do that when the update rolls out officially.

One UI 8.5 is reportedly going to come with the Galaxy S26 series first, and then it should roll out to all supported Galaxy phones. At the moment, Math Solver is available with One UI 8.0 for the S-Pen supporting Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Math Solver is a useful feature for Notes
With Math Solver, you can write or type an equation (arithmetic, trigonometry, or logarithmic expressions even), add an equals sign “=”, and the app will give you the answer almost instantly.
This makes it really easy for students, professionals, or anyone working with numbers. You don't need a separate calculator – everything stays neatly in your notes.
The feature also works with handwritten equations (on compatible Galaxy devices), which is super handy if you prefer writing by hand instead of typing. So if you're solving homework, budgeting, or just doing a quick calculation on the go, Samsung Notes with Math Solver can save you time and effort.
I'd totally use this feature
Honestly, I love the sound of this. Sometimes, when I'm out with friends, a few of us have money at the moment, and others don't, so we end up paying for each other all evening. Later, we open a note trying to remember who owes what when salaries arrive – and that math session is always a disaster.
So the idea that my phone could solve the equation right inside my notes – typed or handwritten – feels chill and kinda genius.
So yeah, I'm all for this feature expanding to more phones. Hopefully, Samsung decides to go for it.
