Belkin's CES 2019 product lineup includes the first third-party USB-C to Lightning cables
Belkin sells a number of interesting accessories for iPhones, Apple Watches, and other “iDevices” through Cupertino’s own website, including a nifty dual wireless charging dock.

But the Foxconn-owned company plans to put one of its most exciting products to date up for grabs on Belkin.com and at “retailers worldwide” this spring. We’re talking about a USB-C to Lightning cable, and if you’re wondering why exactly is that such a big deal, then you must not know how Apple typically handles these things.

In a nutshell, let’s just say the tech giant has a monopoly on this (arguably small) market, but as reported back in September, the status quo is finally set to change. Belkin is likely to be the first of many third-party USB-C to Lightning cable sellers, paving the way for the competition with three somewhat overpriced options.

Carrying recommended retail prices of between $24.99 and $34.99, Belkin’s MFi (Made for iPhone)-certified cables will be available in 4, 6, and 10-foot lengths, the latter of which beats what Apple is currently selling at least from that point of view.

With one of these speckled cords, you can connect your hot new iPhone to a wide range of USB-C accessories and devices, including a first or third-party fast charger. Speaking of, Belkin is also showcasing at CES 2019 a Boost Charge USB-C car charger and USB-C home charger (both including 4-foot cables), as well as a 20K Boost Charge USB-C power bank.

The massive external battery, priced at $129.99, is coming to stores this spring with Power Delivery 2.0 30W technology enabling fast-charging support on Apple’s latest iPad Pro generation, as well as a separate 12W USB-A port.

Finally, if you don’t want to live that dongle life (or that wireless audio life), Belkin has Rockstar headphones with Lightning connectivity in the pipeline. You just plug those into your iPhone and... get a wireless charger for your energy-filling needs.
