The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the best early Prime Day deal for adventurous shoppers at a $300 discount
This is not Apple's latest rugged timepiece, but at its newly reduced price, it's pretty much impossible to turn down... for Amazon Prime members.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2, for instance, is already on sale exclusively for Amazon Prime members at $300 off its $799 list price with a rugged titanium case and your choice of a blue Alpine Loop or blue/black Trail Loop.
While this ultra-robust, impressively powerful, and decidedly feature-packed timepiece was undeniably worth eight Benjamins back at its commercial debut in the fall of 2023, that's obviously no longer the case today, especially after last year's Apple Watch Ultra 3 release.
As such, numerous deals at major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy have dropped the $799 price numerous times in the past, but $300 discounts haven't exactly been frequent occurences. The last time I remember seeing the rugged smartwatch score such a deep price cut was around three months ago, and before that, you might be surprised to hear that Amazon's Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 promotions were significantly weaker.
Now, is the Apple Watch Ultra 3 better than its predecessor? Of course. But is it good enough to justify an additional expense of $200 or $300? I don't think so, and if you carefully analyze the Apple Watch Ultra 2 specs and capabilities, I'm sure you'll reach the same conclusion as me.

The newer edition comes with a slightly higher-quality screen, better battery life, and... that's about it in terms of notable upgrades, which clearly means that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is still one of the best smartwatches money can buy, especially as far as outdoor lovers are concerned.
This thing is great for not just runners, hikers, cyclists, and swimmers but recreational scuba divers as well, not to mention that its dual-frequency GPS connectivity remains virtually unrivaled (especially at its newly reduced price point). Oh, and you also get 4G LTE support as standard. And a customizable Action button. And all kinds of sophisticated health monitoring tools designed to help you lead a better life. What more could you want?
