Apple's 2020 iPad Air drops to a crazy low price at Walmart on Prime Day eve
Best Buy is not the only major US retailer trying to steal Amazon's thunder right before the official start of this year's Prime Day celebration, and although Walmart is not using bombastic "Black Friday in July"-style labels to promote its own hot summer deals on some of the hottest gadgets out there, one sale in particular looks too good to ignore or put off.

Available back in the day at $600 and up, Apple's fourth-generation iPad Air was recently marked down to a completely unprecedented and seemingly unbeatable $400... for Walmart+ members. Believe it or not, the entry-level 64GB storage configuration of the now decidedly mid-range 10.9-inch slate is up for grabs at the time of this writing at an even lower $379.

Better yet, there are no restrictions, special requirements, or strings attached to this insane new promotion, which means you don't need to pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee to save a whopping 220 bucks compared to the iPad Air 4's original starting price.

Released in the fall of 2020 with a then-impressive Apple A14 Bionic processor under its hood, this bad boy was upgraded earlier this year with a state-of-the-art M1 chip and... not much else of real importance. Somewhat surprisingly, this significantly more powerful fifth-gen iPad Air was initially priced the same as its predecessor, fetching $600 and up.

That makes the 2020 edition of the iPad Air a hotter than ever bargain at less than four Benjamins in a grand total of five different color options, at least for the time being. The same exact device costs $450 at Best Buy, while Amazon no longer appears to have it in stock, at least in brand-new condition. Incredibly enough, Amazon is charging more than Walmart for a renewed unit, which further highlights the huge value of the latter's latest promo.

With a beautiful Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen in tow, as well as excellent battery life, excellent speakers, and a USB Type-C port, it almost goes without saying that the fourth-gen iPad Air easily eclipses all of the best Android tablets in its price bracket in nearly every major department.
