Here's how you can get Apple's Beats Powerbeats Pro for only $200 ($50 off)
Apple completely took us by surprise with the early April announcement of the Beats-branded Powerbeats Pro wireless earphones, which improved a number of key things about the AirPods that were refreshed just a couple of weeks before. Of course, the price point was also jacked up from as little as $159 to a somewhat prohibitive 250 bucks.

Even though the sporty headphones started selling around a month after their formal debut and several decent budget-friendly alternatives saw daylight since then, there were no discounts to note at major retailers, let alone the official US Beats or Apple e-stores. That finally changes today with $50 savings available at Rakuten in partnership with trusted third-party seller Daily Steals.

Technically, the brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged Beats Powerbeats Pro on sale here are listed at $234.99, which represents a modest $15 markdown compared to the regular price of these "totally wireless high-performance" earphones. But before checking out, you can apply the "SAVE15" coupon code to your order and shave an additional 15 percent off, which equates to a cool $35 or so. Overall, you stand to save around $50, which may not sound like an impressive discount, but it's without a doubt the best you can get right now, not to mention it might stay that way for a while longer.

At $200, the Powerbeats Pro are basically matching the usual price of the second-gen AirPods with a wireless charging case included. Of course, these bad boys come with a standard wired case that takes the already remarkable 9-hour battery life of the wireless earbuds up to a truly outstanding 24 hours of combined playback time. Unlike their market-leading "cousins", the Powerbeats Pro are also advertised as "sweat and water resistant" (without an actual IP rating provided), not to mention they're designed to never slip out of your ears even during the most intense workouts.

Then again, different people are into different wireless earbuds designs, and Apple's Beats Powerbeats Pro certainly can't please everyone. On that note, we should highlight the only option available at $200 instead of $250 at the time of this writing is the black one.
